Please read all text and terms and be sure to super size the photos below. This auction offers you the opportunity to bid on an old set of mahogany barrister bookcases. It is a three section set that include, three bookcase sections with glass and scissors guides, a base and a top section. You can add more to this set. Nice old set that have a tag inside that says weiss.Overall condition is good with marks on the finish from use, a chip and tThe base has a loose joint that can be easily tightened up and is shown in the photos. The photos show it well. One scissor mechanism takes some finagling to get the glass raised but I am sure it is just a matter of and adjustment of some sort.It opens and close but not as easily as the other two.They could be used as is or could be restored very simply. Overall height when stacked is 49" high by 34.5" wide by 12.5" in depth from front to back.2 sections are 13.25" high and one is 11.25" high. It will be selling with an opening bid of $5 as do almost all of our auctions, with no reserve price set. Any bid can win! We try to describe to the best of our knowledge and ability, We are well experienced, but not experts in identifying wood species, and may or may not be correct in identifying actual wood species on some items.Please be sure to ask questions if you are uncertain about something.
