These items are 3 Vintage Plates from Johnson Bros. in the Game Birds Series. The first (upper left in the attached Picture) is marked on the base "Game Birds A genuine hand engraving. All decoration under the glaze. Detergent and acid resisting colours. Made in England by Johnson Brothers QUAIL". The second (upper right in the attached Picture) is similarly marked on the base, but has "Wild Turkey" instead. The third plate (lower center in the attached Picture) is similarly marked on the base, but has "Pheasant" instead. The 2 larger plates (the Quail and Wild Turkey) measure approx. 11 and 1/8 inches by 10 and 3/8 inches. The smaller plate (Pheasant) measures approx. 9 and 3/8 inches by 8 and 5/8 inches. The Pheasant and Wild Turkey plates are in EXCELLENT condition with NO chips, cracks or repairs......the Pheasant plate has a small (and VERY hard to notice utensil mark below the bird's tail........the Wild Turkey plate has a tiny manufacturing defect on the rim w the finish did not fully cover......also very hard to notice. The Quail Plate is in VERY GOOD condition with NO chips or repairs.......t is a very tight and small (also VERY hard to notice) hair line to the left of the tree. All noted defects are very small (VERY HARD TO NOTICE) and mentioned only for accuracy sake. SUPER VINTAGE ITEMS!! Thanks for looking.
