I've seperated all the springs from my collection together with some recent bulk purchases, I've compiled a REPLACEMENT SPRING KIT for the .30 Cal., M1 Carbine. As shown in the photographs, a total of eight (8) springs make up this genuine U.S.G.I., N.O.S., O.G.P. Spring Kit . The only spring not included is the OPERATING SLIDE STOP FRICTION SPRING . This particular spring is virtually impossible to find. Besides, it's so difficult to remove & replace it, you're better of leaving it alone (a guy can end up disfiguring 2 or 3 springs before he finally gets one install correctly). If one of you desparately need one, please contact me. No promisees, but I may be able to "hook" you up. The other spring NOT included is the BARREL BAND RETAINING SPRING . However, upon special request, I will supply one (1) Barrel Band Retaining Spring for an additional $6.00. I am offering the eight (8) piece Spring Kit for a total of $28.95 (sorry, my suppliers across the board have jacked up all pricing recently). You may be able to save a couple dollars buying from another source, but chances are they are commercially reproduced! Usually that means materials do not conform to original military government specifications (wether it be material grade or dimension). Any machinist or someone with experience working with tolerances knows how critical that becomes! Without naming any names, even some of my own suppliers resort to replacing their stock by ordering new products manufactured by local screw machine shops. In these cases, it is necessary for me to drive hundreds of miles to physically inspect my orders to determine that I am buying from the original government packaging. THIS IS CRITICAL TO ME! Preferred method of payment is PayPal or U.S. Postal Service money order. Method of shipment shall be U.S. Postal Service, Priority Mail, Parcel (shipping cost to be $4.60) in the lower 48 states only . Outside the ports & borders may be double. Included in the Spring Kit are the following eight (8) springs: 1. OPERATING SLIDE SPRING 2. HAMMER SPRING 3. SEAR SPRING 4. TRIGGER SPRING 5. EXTRACTOR SPRING 6. EJECTOR SPRING 7. MAGAZINE CATCH SPRING PLUNGER (return) 8. MAGAZINE CATCH/SAFETY SPRING & PLUNGER ASSEMBLY (double plunger) This Spring Kit is a "must have" when replacing worn springs or simply cleaning your "sweetheart" . Remember, 90% of all malfunctions of the carbine are due to worn or damaged springs. Keeping a Spring Kit "on hand" is a good insurance policy. I'm sure many of you, when cleaning and/or servicing your carbine, have found that the smallest spring is the one that "shoots across the room", never to be found again. Now what do you do!! T are a few distributors across the country that supply springs for the carbine. The problem is, most do not carry in stock, all the springs all the time. Most of the time they never send you the exact spring you ordered anyway! Due to the fact the roughly 50 years have passed since the end of production of .30 cal., M1 parts. The simple fact is... they are scarce and getting even harder to locate. The majority of distributors have been restocking parts & springs by ordering "aftermarket" or commercial grade componants. Usually by bulk order from a local screw machine shop . This simply will not due for the carbine collector or the guy who loves to "shoot" the "War Baby". Using sub-standard parts & springs only creat even bigger problems. As shown in the photographs, I have a limited supply of all new old stock (N.O.S.) in original government packaging (O.G.P.) springs for the carbine. My products are guaranteed to be the "genuine" article, folks! Every spring in my Kit is U.S.G.I., N.O.S. in the O.G.P. I also have a small amount of HAMMER PINS ($1.80 ea.), TRIGGER HOUSING PINS ($4.00 ea.), TRIGGER PINS ($2.50 ea.) and FRONT SIGHT KEY RETAINING PINS ($1.80 ea.). read more
