I'm selling this for the 80 year old lady whose Father owned the station w this sign was originally located. She doesn't remember if this was the actual gas he handled or if he just had the sign hanging up. ULTIMATE Holiday present for the discriminating collector!

If you are looking for A centerpiece for your collection - THIS IS IT! This is a 30" dia, DOUBLE SIDED, Standard Oil of Louisiana STANOCOLA Porcelain Sign. Heavy porcelain on steel. One hanging hole at the top. Minimal porcelain edge dings (appears never been dropped) and about 5 dime size dings on one side and about 6 nickel/dime/quarter size on the other side. NO HOLES OR DENTS -HAS NOT BEEN SHOT! Good and flat, and never bent. About a 3" edge part that has some minor corrosion - see last pic. When I removed it from her basement, I only washed it with a cloth and water and the colors are GREAT! It does need a good cleaning to make it shine. This really is a " knock yo eyes out " sign! I'll bet you'd have a hard time finding one any better , this side of a NOS piece. Please see all pics and if you need more specific pics , let me know and I'll get them to you.
