Up for auction is this fabulous large vintage Taxco sterling silver bracelet. The silver mark 980 dates it to the 30's or 40's. It has a very distinctive art deco design, made up of five chunky tubular squares connected by five arched links that have a ribbed design to them. The squares are rounded on all sides and measure an inch wide by 3/8 of an inch thick! The links are 1 1/4" in length and a half inch high. One of the links serves as the latch so that when it is closed the bracelet's design is unbroken and looks like one continuous link. The bracelet is very chunky and has a bold yet simple symmetrical look to it. A real beautifully designed piece! The bracelet is in great condition with a strong latch. Could probably use a little cleaning to make it really shine. The overall length is 8". It is marked "Taxco 980" on the link which serves as the latch.
