30s Art Deco Slip In 7 LT Cased Glass Chandelier Lamp

is a large and fine 7 light slip in cased glass shade lamp. It is from the Art Deco era, around the late 30s or so. I believe this is a Lightolier and has several of the illustrious company's trademarks. This is a large lamp, constructed of aluminum and solid brass, not brass plate! It has bee professionally rewired within the last 10 years and is in very good condition, with some minor issues. The lamp itself is very well made, with heavy construction and good solid fastening techniques. Each aluminum spoke of the frame holds a solid brass cup, with a ball finial on the bottom. Each cup holds an exquisite, authetic Italian cased glass shade, with a white interior and a translucent and creamy beige exterior, with shading at the crucial points in the glass. All of the shades are original except for one. One shade has a repair which is in the fitter area and is not visible at all. The bottom shade is not the original and has a repair for a crack across the bottom. This shade has a fitter of 6" and a height of about 3". The large hanging loop is a deco stylized and brass fan shape used by Lightolier extensively. It has it's original brass canopy with some tarnish. This also has the familiar, but hard to find in working order, 3 setting finial switch. Meaning, you turn the ball finial at the bottom of the center shade and first the top, then the bottom, then both come on. It's great, and in perfect restored condition. This lamp is in excellent condition, even with the damage to the center shade. The shade could be replaced with much less hassle than one of the 5 shades. Measures a healthy 20" wide, with a shown, current height (can be lengthened) of 30". It has a least possible height of 18", taking all but one link of chain out. Each shade measures 6" wide and has a 1" slip cylinder fitter which fit into the cups.Excellent, Deco, Authentic and Large, with pretty neutral colors.Please see my other listings!I will ship this anyw in the world.Each lamp is carefully packaged whether it is going next door or across the globe.
