~ 1930's Big Bad Wolf Wooden Holder for 3 Pigs Knife, Spoon & Fork ~
Hello, is a rare 1933 or 1934 Walt Disney Big Bad Wolf wooden display holder for a set of Three Little Pigs silverware by Rogers International Silver. They sold these sets with wooden toys of Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and others. The Wolf is made of a pressed type wood with all original paint. He stands a giant 9.5 inches tall and has a slot on one arm to hold the fork, spoon and knife. The Wolf is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, breaks or repairs. T is some light craze type lines in the paint probably from age and the wood grain, not that noticeable. He stands in his original base. The utensils are all marked Three Little Pigs and show The Big Bad Wolf on reverse with the markings for Wm. Rogers & Son I.S. These are all Walt Disney Enterprise era pieces. Utensils measure 5.5 to 7 inches in length and are in very good, shiny condition. T are some initials "EGH" engraved on the knife handle. Item is pictured in Tomart's Disneyana Vol 3, page 86. Finding this complete set is very difficult and it will make a wonderful centerpiece to your collection. Please ask all questions before bidding and thanks for looking!
