30's HAWTHORNE BICYCLE~Cleveland Weld~ORIGINAL~HIAWATHA Search Description You are bidding on what I believe to be a 1930's Girl's 26" Hawthorne Bicycle made by the Cleveland Weld company. The bike is almost complete with exception of the rear light that fits in the carrier and the reflector on the rear fender. These parts are reproduced and can be found on ebay. I am not sure if this is referred to as a Hiawatha. This bike is totally original. What you see in the pictures is what you get. The bike was found as seen in the pictures and I added a small amount of air in the front tire: I took the bike for a 1/2 mile ride with no issues. The bike goes straight down the road with no rattles and brakes work fine. It is a smooth ride. I have seen the light on this bike in not as good condition sell for $120.00. Note the locking device on the bike, but I do not have the key. I am sure a locksmith can make one. Note the added extension on the rear of the chainguard. I am not sure if the bike took some type of webbing on the rear fender because t is a series of factory drilled holes. I would prefer pick-up rather than disassembling the bike for shipping. Price for shipping will be actual shipping plus $25 for time to pack it. I have shipped a bike before and it is a great deal of hard work. EBAY NOW MAKES YOU ENTER A SHIPPING AMOUNT read more
