I bought it many years ago. I love Bakelite,Lucite and Celluloid which are sometimes with Woods. This piece is not Bakelite. It is a very light weight CELLULOID pin. I am not sure about the exact era this pin is from. The brooch is in very good shape. The Lady and Dog are glued to the sort of plastic backs. The back of the lady is slightly up due to its age or the weather. So it may come off anytime soon. In that case, you may reglue them back again. The back of the dog looks fine and very steady. The chain is very delicate but seems great at this moment. Thank you for your understanding of the old piece jewelry. No major flaws. Sold as-is. I think it is a great pin.
