The item up for bid is a magnificent Masonic diamond ring. It is 14 carat gold and white gold with a gorgeous 1.8 carat european cut diamond in the center. It has the Masonic symbol on one flank and a cross on the other. On one end is a symbol resembling a numeral 7 and on the opposite is the number 32, denoting the rank. Engraved on the inside is "Gotic 14k-1". The ring is size 9.5 and has extra thickness on the bottom for resizing. The ring was owned by my late father-in-law in Houston, Texas. No reserve. Notice: On March 2, 2007, I had a professional appraiser, Neil Beatty of Denver, Colorado, appraise the ring, mainly for answers to potential bidders. His findings, in short, are as follows: Diamond size, 1.74 Carats Ring size, 8.5, rather than 9.5 as previously stated. Clarity, I-2. The appraisal also stated that the diamond was "round transitional brilliant cut natural diamond.
