This flag is being re-listed with a lower starting price.I have added more photos. Photos #5 & 7 show opposite sides of a reddish stain I had not noticed before. Photo # 12 shows lettering we are unable to make out.It is a large flag, measuring 46" x 100". It has 34 stars which dates it to the Lincoln Administration. The 34 star flag was the flag of the North for two years during the Civil War. Research indicates flags of this size were often used on government buildings or on ships.Too bad it can't talk, I'd love to know its story; or if its talking, I'm not smart enough to understand what it's trying to say. I have reason to believe the flag had been in Savannah for a good part of the last hundred years, but before that, I just don't know.
