I am offering this nice group of 34 pieces of VIOLET sterling by Wallace , circa 1904. This group includes lots of great extra pieces for someone wanting to add to their set. T are 8 salad forks (7"), 4 cocktail forks (5 3/4"), 7 flat handle butter spreaders (6"), 6 forks (7 1/4"), 3 knives (9 1/4"), 2 meat forks (8 1/4"), large carving knife (12 5/8"), large carving fork (10 1/2"), small carving fork (8 1/2"), and cake/pie server (10 1/2"). With the exception of the carving pieces, all the other pieces are in very good, unmonogrammed condition. The large carving set is in good condition, but it has had some use. Particularly, the large knife blade is tarnished and shows sharpening marks. It is the original blade and is marked with the Wallace hallmark. The small carving fork has had a lot of use. The tines are heavily tarnished and plating on the steel blade is pitted. All the pieces are marked on the back, as pictured. Overall, this group of sterling is in very good condition. The tines on the forks are still nice and sharp and the blades on the dinner knives and spreaders are very good, as well. Thanks for your interest in these beautiful and useful pieces of antique flatware.
