340+ NOS NIB 1950's SEALED NOVO OCCASSION GREETING CARD Description Jbjohn We went to an estate sale last summer and bought a "box of boxes" and packages of greeting cards. We didn't want tackle them so they've sat for nearly a year. Today I got curious and started looking through...I'm so glad I did...these are wonderful! All are "Novo Laugh" cards from the 50's and run the gamut from birthday to valentines to pay-more-attention-to-me. They are clever, witty and fun! My personal favorite is the birthday card with the pillows on the front and an actual tassel...the colors are gorgeous! Some of the cards have neat little touches like a tuft of hair; an arm raising a sign; a mirror. Most are 5 x 6"...four of the stacks are 2.5 x 6". Nineteen are in original boxes, the remaining 10 are sealed in cellophane. T are also a number of loose cards that are in good condition I am not counting...just throwing in. T are 2 duplicate designs...one has a package of 2 the other 4. (I noticed a seller has the "Picasso" looking card listed for $10 per card...I'm not interested in piecing these out) T may be a few missing from a box...I allowed for that, you are still getting at least 340. Even though these were protected by boxes and cellophane some a slightly warped...you can press these out. Some of the loose cards may have some minor marks, but I'm not counting them anyway...just wanted you to know. This opportunity doesn't come along very often...don't let these great cards get away! Please understand that the description of ANY vintage piece is ALWAYS subjective. We are not experts, but between the two of us we have been buying and selling for decades. We search for any possible flaws in our merchandise, providing detailed descriptions and photos of these imperfections. If you have any questions you are welcome to email or phone . Your shipping carrier depends on the size and weight of the package. We primarily utilize Fed-Ex ground and USPS parcel post. If your shipment is international please wait for the revised invoice. The shipping charges in the auction reflect United States delivery. International packages ship USPS priority. We are glad to give an estimate upon request. A note on your packaging: We will wear silk gloves and place your item into a sacred box made of magic and lined with Unicorn fur, then we will tie the box with a strand of Gypsy hair and wrap the whole thing in snazzy looking faux gold paper with elm leaf inlay from Costco. Unfortunately, by the time it gets to you, all of that fancy stuff will likely have been picked clean by the greedy shipping employees. Please don't be surprised to see just a plain recycled box and packaging materials. It would be great if you could reuse it or take to your recycling center.
