NO RESERVE. We're offering here a beautifully detailed 1/350 scale Avro Lancaster heavy bomber that's just come out of the 3D printer! The venerable Lancaster was the workhorse of the Royal Air Force's Bomber Command from mid 1942 till the end of hostilities in Europe and many continued in service through the 1950's. Not only did the Lanc carry the battle to the enemy in the strategic night bombing role, it also showed it's unique capabilities in daring raids like the 1943 Dam Busters mission and the sinking of the German battleship Tirpitz at harbor in Norwegian fiords with special "tallboy" bombs. In fact, the Lancaster is considered by many to be the finest heavy bomber of the Second World War. We believe that this is the first Lancaster that's ever been offered in this scale. Unfortunately, production of even famous aircraft like the Lancaster in 1/350 scale are just too costly given the size of the audience. We think that these models rival the quality of some injection molded kits in this scale but we've posted high resolution photos so you can judge for yourself. Note that the grid boxes in the background measure 1" square. The prototype box is included.
