Penn Antique Restoration 36"x 79" Antique Exterior Pine Door w/ 2 Raised Panels & 3 Glass Lites Up for sale is a sturdy, antique, exterior, door salvaged from an old home in Northeastern Massachusetts. The door is made of solid Pine, and features 2 raised panels and 3 horizontal glass lites.When most people hear "pine" they think of a cheap, weak, soft wood. New pine hewn from 10 - 20 year old trees don't have the same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant qualities that old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old have. Old pine is also much harder and stronger than young pine. Hardware : The door is not equipped with any hardware. If you would like to add any hardware, w e have a good selection of period hardware in our eBay store, and tons more in our physical store. * If you would like any of the hardware holes patched with a solid block of wood,--see "Modification" below. Condition : This door is strong, sturdy, and in great shape with only surface scrapes, scratches, small nail holes--minor cosmetic blemishes, which would be removed during the finishing process or covered if painted. Quirks & Considerations : The width of the door was unevenly cut at some point by 1/4" most likely to accommodate an old warped floor or settling foundation.
