The tooth: 4.37 inches on one slant; 4.22 inches on other slant; 3 .08 inches wide. Tooth from a monster! This is the megalodon shark tooth from a Georgia river. This is a unique conversation piece which would make a great gift as well. These teeth are getting harder and harder to find as the areas where they are found are limited. I find these teeth scuba diving in 40 foot deep black water rivers. It is a very exciting and addictive hobby. A scuba diver can encounter many dangers while scuba diving for fossils including low-no visibility, extreme current, alligators, sharks, sting rays, eels, snakes and whatever else may be in the water including entanglement hazzards. It takes specialized equipement and training to pursue this kind of catch. There is always something guarding the treasure! The tooth: Never any restorations or repairs on my teeth. I lightly clean them but they are for the most part like they came out of the water. My camera does not do these teeth justice . Thanks and I COMBINE SHIPPING so you can buy as many teeth as you want and pay shipping for one tooth!!!
