50 Pieces Total Up for auction is a 37 piece Sterling Silverware Flatware Set by Gorham in the Melrose pattern. T are 8-four place settings and 5 serving pieces in the same pattern. T are an additional 8 butter spreaders in a similar pattern. They have Holmes & Edwards IS Deep Silver stamped on the back. They look very similar to the Melrose pattern and go wonderfully with the Gorham pieces. T are also 5 small serving pieces in different patterns. 1 darling, curved small, ladle from YellowStone Park with 3 deer on it. A buck, a doe, and a fawn. It has 3 symbols and the words Pearl Silver on the back. A small flat serving piece with cutouts on spoon part. It has Community Plate written on the back. One small narrow spoon with cutouts. It says Gee-Esco Plate. One butter pat serving knife that has no pattern on the handle. On the back it shows 3 symbols and the word Sterling. The other butter pat serving knife has no pattern on the handle. It says WM Rogers & SonAA and I think it is Silverplate. This set also includes a nice Pacific Silver Cloth, Patented Lined Storage Case by Gorham. It keeps this set tarnish free. The case has some minor wear from storage. This set appraised for $1,100 back in 1986. Appraisal was made by Gail Herbst from Graham Silver in Omaha Nebraska. I will include a copy of the appraisal paper. This set has not been used since that time. It has been carefully stored. It would make a wonderful addition to any formal table setting.
