Civil War letter from JF Lindley & GH Parker, at Quuincy, Illinois, Oct 23, 1861, to Iowa Adjutant General NB Baker, Davenport, Iowa, reporting the 3rd Iowa is at Quincy under command of Major Stone; General Todd is commanding the Division, amd will complete their examination & they will leave for St Louis. 1p 8 x 11 letter w illus of the Quincy House Hotel & hotel logo. Vg. George H Parker was a prominent Davenport citizen. Should be researched.
