Three Meissen (Germany) porcelain thimbles, various decorations, marked with crossed swords factory mark Description: These thimbles were made in Germany by Meissen (Saxony, Germany) during the last decades of the 20 th century. All have a Meissen 'crossed swords' factory mark on their inside This group includes three Meissen porcelain thimbles :1. a thimble with a continuous band decoration in deep cobalt blue, representing an orchid.2. a thimble with the Onion Pattern ( Zwiebelmuster ) painted in blue under glaze, and gilt and iron red over glaze, Imari style. This is numbered on the inside in red numerals: ' 200117/2646 '.3. a thimble with a continuous blue and gilt decoration of two dragons. This is numbered on the inside in red: ' 320240/177 '. These vintage thimbles have an attractive design and are in superb condition, without damages or repairs. All thimbles are 7/8 inch (22 mm) high. These rare thimbles will make a wonderful addition to any thimble and needleware collection. I guarantee age (2nd half 20th century) and authenticity of these interesting collector's items, originating from a Dutch private collection.
