A Quick 3 day only Auction This is an American Flyer Engine # 302 4-4-2 Steam Engine with Smoke, light and choo-choo generator and red smoke stack insert to simulate a firebox. Just finished off the work bench this unit is in great shape, with new wick and heating element, new 14 volt light bulb. The e-unit is working and cycling properly. The smoke unit produces a great amount of smoke and the engine is strong in both forwards and reverse. The original lettering on both the Engine and tender is strong. This unit is a bake light body and tender with a link coupler. All the linkage is present and in very good condition. The interior date of this train is Nov. 1953 As I am building up a few of these Trains and need to make room for the next ones coming off the bench! Take her home and let er run! This is a great engine and would make a fantastic addition to anyone’s collection, and a great runner for anyone’s layout. I am not a retail shop, I am a hobbyist only. I buy and restore trains for fun not profit, but in order to keep restoring I have to sell them once they are done. Make a reasonable offer and I am sure we can come up with a deal! I will be listing several Train and slot car items. Most of these items are items that I acquired while buying groups of train equipment at a time. All the items are used and show some wear and use. When I refurbish an engine it includes but is not limited to: completely disassembling the engine down to the gears. All electrical contacts cleaned or redone. All gears cleaned and degreased and then re-greased with white lithium grease. All exposed metal parts are cleaned and high speed buff to remove the decades of dirt and oxidation buildup and to return the original luster of the metal. Any wiring looking in need of replacement is removed and replaced. Any broken or missing coupler replaced (with original style couplings) and when needed the hand rails replaced/repaired . If any paint or body work needed to be done on the train it will be listed what was done and noted.
