Ahrenfeldt Limoges Dinner Plates / WOW !! Gorgeous set of four C.A./ France dinner plates measuring 9 1/2" across. Elegant scalloped edges with wide bold gold toned trimming, next to shield-like cranberry colored patterned edge. Just stunning. The plates are basically a light vanilla colored body. About 1 1/2" from the border is a gold trimmed pattern encircling the interior plate. Due to age or stacking, this gold pattern has very, very light wear, but these beautiful Limoges Ahrenfeldt plates still look fantastic for their age. The gold on the outer edge has very light wear also, but very minor. These gorgeous plates also have stunning gamebird transferware scenes. Each plate with a different gamebird and different scene. Wonderful rich detail and bright vivid colors. One plate has a small chip along back edge of plate, but undetectable from the front. The other plates are perfect. No cracks, repairs, hairlines, or crazing. One plate has a tiny smudge mark that looks it was a gold drag mark when the gold was applied years ago. Very minor, just thought I'd mention it. Back of plates are marked, in green, C.A., France. T's a circular emblem with a crown over it. Inside the circle reads, Mermod & Jaccard Jewelry Co., St. Louis.
