Very Nice, 4 color, MONTBLANC CARRERA ballpoint pen! Auctioned is a terrific 4 color MONTBLANC Carrera ballpoint pen. The pen is all original and guarenteed authentic. It dates to the mid 1970's and seems to have had very little use. The upper barrel is hard resin material and is black. The lower barrel is also hard resin and is the awesome and unique, C arrera yellow. This yellow was not the most popular color for this model, but it was, by far the coolest. The metal band in the middle is gray and reads "MONTBLANC CARRERA GERMANY". This pen is the 4 color model. It litterally takes 4 different refills, 1 red, 1 blue, 1 black, and 1 green. Outlined on the uppr barrel t are the four colors. Don't ask me how the mechanism knows what color to dispense but you simply need to face the desired color on the barrel upward and click ... and presto, that's the color you get. (Those German engineers are geniuses)! The pen comes with the blue refill inserted and working. You will need the other 3 refills but they are quite cheap and a well stocked stationer will have them, or can get them. The pen is in very good condition. T are no cracks or dings or dents in the pen anyw; only surface scratches on the body. The chrome accents are all in great shape and show very little wear. The MONTBLANC logo star is embossed in white on the top of the pen. read more
