These great vintage chairs, found at estate in a London neighborhood near Westminster Abbey feature wonderful solid oak turned Jacobean style legs with stretcher base and a beautiful patina and warm oak striped grains. Quality high back chairs. (see picture). Simple, yet elegant, graceful classic lines. Each with a nice carved circle medallion on the top seat back. (see photos). These chairs are all solid oak with no veneer at all and are of very top quality. Seat bottoms are covered in a nice versatile tasteful vintage Naugahyde or leather like material, which are in excellent condition. The seat bottoms conveniently pop out from the chair frames (see photo) if recovering is desired. Many designers are using these antique chairs to recover with popular vintage fabrics. These are authentic. These chairs mix well with many different antique tables, such as French Country, Old English, Victorian, Mission, Arts and Crafts or Art Deco. Each measures approx. 38" tall with a seat width of 18 1/2" and depth of 17" and a seat height of 18 1/2" These chairs are all solid oak and are in very good condition with some signs of wear from use over the years (see photos), to be expected for chairs of this age. The age and signs of wear on these chairs add a character and authenticity that true antique collectors savor.
