While it might be possible to find a similar piece of this meteorite being sold by others, considering the provenance of a meteorite specimen is a very important factor when determining how much you want to pay. The Palladot™ (Pallasitic Peridot) crystals in this lot came from a specimen that was found by me, Steve Arnold, host of Science Channel's Meteorite Men television series .
Don't get me wrong, there is NOTHING wrong with specimens found by other people. However, you should evaluate a specific meteorite's value based on several criteria (not necessarily in this specific order): 1. Weight of the specimen 2. Thickness of the slice (a thinner slice produces more saw loss but results in more surface area) 3. Aesthetic appeal 4. Quality of the preparation 5. Specimen Box (or other container) 6. Specimen ID Card 7. Quality photos of the specimen 8. Fusion Crust or lack of 9. Weathering or lack of 10. Integrity of the Seller 11. Provenance of the specimen (how it was recovered and by whom) 12. Shipping, handling, and insurance costs 13. Price Based on the above criteria, I have set the "Buy It Now" price on this item accordingly.

This meteorite was not found on our TV show Meteorite Men, but it did come from the Muonionalusta strewnfield featured in the one of this last season's episodes. This is an exceptionally high quality specimen.
Words like "Huge" and "Monster" are thrown around here on Ebay for Muonionalusta slices 1/10 the size of this one.
This is a museum quality specimen with an optional amazing frame whereby the slice could be encased in oil, that keeps the both iron shiny and away from air.
The COLORED lights on the slice (in some of the photos) were taken simply with adjusting 3 small colored flashlights at different angles to graphically reveal the deep etch in 3D Widmanstatten structure. Say "please" when you buy this, and I will toss in the 3 flashlights so you can play 'til your heart's content with the stunning designs your slice will reveal.
