4 old antique PA BARN 32" HINGES ARROW, heart point tip. These BARN STRAP HINGES are old and antiques. They are a matched set taken off a set of barn doors. They are so close in shape that I decided to sell all 4 as a set. I NEVER SANDBLAST MY HARDWARE. I DON'T LIKE TO REMOVE ALL THE "AGE" OR PATINA THAT TIME HAS PUT INTO THE BEAUTY OF THE HARDWARE. I removed all the loose rust and paint and sealed them with a oil based sealer. This protects them and keeps the rust off. This can be painted over with oil based paint. They are heavily pitted and you can see the hammer marks just as you would expect for great set of old hinges that have been in the weather for over 150 years. Look closely at the photo and see the pitted surface. The bevel is nice and even all the way along the hinge. They are made from 1/4" thick wrought iron at the pin end and thin down over the length of the hinge. The pintels are around 8" long. They are the drive in style pintel. The pins are 1/2" diameter. They would be great for barn doors, doors in your basement or a set of doors on a carriage house.The hinges are 32", 30", 21 and 20 1/2" long and around 1 3/4" wide. They are mostly 1/4" thick wrought iron and were hammered down thin at the heart end.You won't be disappointed in the old world craftsmanship.xxx IMPORTANT DETAILS xxx 9/10/06 Have fun bidding and good luck! NOTE: I no longer use Fedex for shipping. I sometimes will use DHL so ask me to give you a price. They are often better for heavy boxes over long distances. Paypal is the preferred method of payment for the fastest shipment (often same or next day). Postal Money orders are second best. I accept Personal checks only from people with 100 percent positive feedback number over 25. Please send an email if you are planning to send a money order.
