This auction is one bid and NO RESERVE for a set of four uber-handsome old Neoclassical Themed Eglomise (reverse painted on glass) Panels on Convex Glass in gildwood frames. Old estate pieces from a very good Dallas picker resource and guaranted vintage, these are probably Continental European (French or Italian) for the early 20th century American market, ca. 1900 - 1940. Unconditionally guaranteed genuine Eglomise on honest examination through a loupe and NOT any other type of lesser process. The black outlines were applied through a transfer-printing process (similar to the process for making designs on dishes) and the white and green colors and gilding were hand-painted. The wood frames are gold-leafed. MINT condition as the pics show with a fine patina of age and NO chips, cracks, hairlines, or fleabites in the glass. No wear or losses to the eglomise. Giltwood frames in excellent condition with no warpage, splitting or other problems. The pics are very honest and show the condition well and these are in excellent condition, ready to hang on your wall, and you won't be disappointed. Each plaque measures about 7" in diameter including its frame; they are medium-sized pieces. NO RESERVE and a very reasonable start for Old European Eglomise and you get the set of four for one bid, a nice eBay opportunity.
