Nice Set of Four Original Mid-Century Modern Herman Miller Fiberglass Eames Designed Shell Chairs. Dating to the last half of the 20th century. In fine original condition showing only the most modest signs of use consistent with their age. Greige or grey/beige in color. On four leg stacking and interlocking bases. Raised relief Herman Miller text and logo on the base. Some with paper lables, some without. All seat attaching bumpers and floor glides are intact. Fiberglass seats show good definition and the surfaces are smooth, shiney and free of chips, cracks, repairs or restorations.
Please see my other auctions for more of these same chairs in a set of six. All are offered with no reserve. I am always happy to combine purchases to save on shipping costs. Each chair measures about 22" wide x 22" deep x 32" high with a seat height of about 18". These chairs can be shipped assembled and boxed via UPS or FedEx at their oversized rate. The ebay shipping calculator will give you the actual shipping rate via UPS which includes a $20 charge that I have added for packaging. The rate is about $125 to the East Coast and about $140 to the West Coast. These chairs can also be picked up in the Boston area for no aditional charge beyond the bid price and I will consider delivery for a fee of $1.00 per mile within about 100 miles of Boston. For foreign shipment, delivery will be made to a shipper of your choice in the local Boston area for a fee of $35 and all shipping arrangements will be the responsibility of the purchaser. I have worked with the Packaging Store , and I highly recommend them. Plan on a packaged shipping weight of about 50-60# in a container about 25" x 25" x 42". It may also be possible to ship these chairs disassembled in multiple boxes to some foreign destinations through the United States Postal Service if your country allows a package up to 108" combined length and girth. The number of boxes will depend on the number of chairs in the auction lot, but I will work with you to make the shipping costs as economical as possible. Several people have asked why I have relisted these chairs. These are not the same chairs relisted ..... these are additional lots of chairs. Over the past several weeks I have had four rounds of auctions listing these chairs in sets of 4, 6 and 8. I started out with a total of 98 of these chairs and all of the chairs from the previous auctions have been delivered to the winning bidders. I have also been able to offer some sets to underbidders. The chairs listed in this round of auctions are the end of the chairs I have available.
