For auction are 4 Paragon bone china handled soup bowls with underplates in the Athene pattern made by Paragon in England . The rims of the bowls and plates are scalloped and have a rich burgundy red glaze with gold accents. Markings: Marked as follows: Paragon By Appointment Fine Bone China England Reg. Four of the underplates also have the word Athene marked in script. Two of the cups have an extra line which reads By Appointment H.M. The Queen & H.M. Queen Mary with a different crown logo. Approximate Dimensions : Bowls measure 6âe in width including the handles and are 2 ½âe in height and the under plates have a diameter of 6âe Overall Condition : The bowls and plates are in very good condition with no chips, cracks, breaks or repairs. The bowls and plates have been very gently used and show some very very light wear. Two of the plates have a tiny scratch mark on the red. The gold gilding is in very good condition and one soup bowl has what looks like two spots of tarnish on the foot of the bowl to the gold gilding âe" which we have not attempted to clean. Please refer to the pictures as they are part of our description. Bonus: The bonus under plate is in very good condition but has a scratch on the red glaze and a rub of gold gilding on to the red glaze which occurred during manufacturing. Payment must be received within 7 days of the end of auction without exception. If payment is not received within 7 days an unpaid item reminder will be sent. If still not paid within 24 hours of the reminder, a Non Paying bidder will be filed and item will be re-listed. Negative feedback will be posted for non-paying bidders. Provincial Sales Tax will be added to purchases from Ontario residents. FEEDBACK Appropriate feedback will be awarded to bidder at the conclusion of the transaction.
