Jenny Lind 4 Vanity Pieces of Jenny Lind Glass Maker Fostoria 1954-1965 Glove Box - Pomade Jar Pin Tray - Comb & Brush Tray (No overseas bidders except for Canada). If International bidder has shipping address inside US, they can bid. All 4 pieces are Jenny Lind Pattern White Glass by Fostoria Glass Company of Moundsville, West Virginia. They are opaque white milk glass. They feature a pattern of a raised cameo design in the center. They are a lovely Art Nouveau design. This pattern was first produced in 1903. These particular 4 pieces were produced from 1954 to 1965. For Milk Glass Collectors, these are very high quality pieces of opaque glass . I have to make my starting bid at $65.00. 1. Jenny Lind Glove Box w/Cover . Beautiful covered glove box by Fostoria Glass Company. The legs and corners each have raised Poppy design and the piece is covered with a mass of raised roses. It measures 10.5âe oval with 4-tab feet x 2 1⁄2âe in height. Original pattern number was 832. A very difficult piece to find. This excellent piece has no chips, cracks, or flea bites. 2. Jenny Lind Pomade Jar with Cover : Perfect covered pomade jar by Fostoria Glass Company. The bottom is on 4-tab feet. The top of the piece is covered with a mass of raised roses. It measures 2.5âe tall without lid, 3 1⁄4âe tall with the lid, and 4 1⁄2âe across the longest part of the lid. Piece is round with 4-tab feet. Original pattern number on this particular piece was 830. This is a perfect piece as with the one described above and has no chips, cracks, or flea bites. 3. Jenny Lind 6 Inch Oval Pin Tray : The bottom is on a raised edge. The top of the piece is covered with a mass of raised roses. It measures 6âe x 3.5âe oval and is raised by 1âe. Original pattern number was 826. This is a perfect piece with no chips, cracks, or flea bites. 4. Jenny Lind 11 1/2" Inch Oval Comb & Brush Tray : The bottom is on raised footing edge. The top of the piece is covered with a mass of raised roses. It measures 11.5âe x 7.5âe oval and is raised by 1âe. Original pattern number was 824. This piece has one small flake (1/8âe) on inside bottom rim of the footing of the piece. It is not seen visually unless you turn the piece over. Jenny Lind (with Cameo) (1954-1965) Jenny Lind was a Fostoria pattern name that was applied to items made specifically for the vanity area. The pattern was taken from an earlier pattern that Fostoria produced without the Cameo. Jenny Lind (also called the âeoeSwedish Nightingaleâe was a Swedish singer who toured America in the early 1850s. She was famous all over the world for her great singing ability. The same year that Fostoria was established, the world lost this famous singer. Reference: Milk Glass (1949) by Belknap, Elegant Glass 2 nd edition by Debbie & Randy Cox revised 2004.
