You are bidding on one of the best examples of art deco waterfall bedroom furniture I have ever had the oporunity to purchase. It came right out of a local home w it had been since it was purchased new. I am the second owner. It is in wonderful original condition with only normal wear, scratches, and nicks for it's age. It is made out of satinwood, a beautiful silky honey color wood, tfore the name satinwood originates. The suite includes a full size bed with metal rails that could be made into a queen by simply purchasing another set of queen size rail, no modification to the bed necessary. A lovely drop center vanity dresser with a very large round mirror. The matching vanity stool is just icing on the cake. Notice the large stretchers on the vanity stool. Most of them are poorly constructed and have been thrown away years ago, not the case with this vanity stool. It is very well constructed and tight. The upholstery on the vanity stool appears to be in good condition but if you don't like it, it can be easily replaced at home. You will only need the fabric, some tacks or staples, just cover right over the old upholstery. The seat comes right out with 4 screws. Last but not least, you have a large, highboy chest with 4 large drawers. The light spot you see at the top of the chest isn't really t It is only something caused by me or the camera. The chest looks just as good as all the rest of the furniture. Take a close look at the photo illustrating the dovetail construction of the drawers, notice it has dovetail joints on both the front and the back of each drawer. Also check out the wood that the drawers are made of, all solid oak. Only furniture makers of high quality, top of the line furniture would go to the trouble and expense to make the drawere out of oak, dovetail them even in the back, something that most consumers would not probably even notice. If you are like me even if you pull the drawer out far enough to see if the drawers are dovetail or not, I normally don't pull it all the way out and check to see if the back is dovetail construction or not. All the drawers in the whole suite are in as prestine a condition as the one seen in the photo. All the hardware is complete and original to the suite. The backs on all the pieces look just as good as the on in the photos of the back of the chest of drawers. The overall condition of this suit is great. T has been one small repair to the side of the chest, see photo. It is nearly invisible but you will also notice that it is located on the left side of the chest at the very bottom back of the chest. It is so far down and at the back side of the chest, no one will ever notice. T is also a much smaller repair on the inside of the kneehole of the vanity. Dimensions: Bed: 53 inches tall with approximately 4 inch diameter posts. Chest: 51 inches tall, 32 inches wide, 18 inches deep. Dresser or vanity: 46 inches wide, 68 inches total height, 40 inches diameter on mirror. Vanity stool: 26 inches tall, 16 1/2 inches deep, 24 inches wide. Good luck and happy bidding. Just remember when looking at this furniture, you are buying a part of Americana that has been loved and admired for the last 60 or so and has stood the test of time. You are buying quality and not presswood, cardboard, or plastic. I am selling this furniture without reserve, the first bid starts the sale. Check new furniture prices. Even if you have to pay shipping charges, you are investing in furniture that you can use and enjoy for years and years to come for probably about the same money as an inexpensive new bedroom suit. Most low end bedroom suits cost $1200....
