Set of 4 Rimmed Soup bowls in "Ophelia" pattern with enameled highlights. Made in England in 1930's by Newport Potteries, Clarice Cliff. Marked on bottom (see photo) Bowls are approx 9" in diameter and have a background color of light sage green. Pattern is a basket of flowers against a dark brown center and a band of dark brown patterned design around the edge. Flowers are loosely arranged in the center and extend up the sides of the bowl. Flowers are in dark blue, light yellow and dusty pink with leaves in brown and deep blue/green shades. Basket is done in brown over off white and shows the weave distinctly and has dark blue decorations. Some of the petals on the central flowers have enameling giving them a three dimensional effect. T is all over crazing on the bowls but no chips or cracks. Bowls are in good condition...colors still nice. Insurance is included in the quoted shipping charges. Be sure and check out our other auctions and happy bidding.
