4 VINTAGE FOLK ART MINIATURE BASKETS AWESOME CONDITION

Up for auction is a nice lot of 4 vintage miniature baskets which have been in my collection for quite some time. Each basket is unique in style and construction, but all are quite charming. The first is a tiny market basket hand woven of oak splints, I believe, in alternating lighter and darker stains. I think that it is American made and has some age to it. It measures a mere 3 1/2" long, 2 1/2" wide, and 1 1/2" tall without the handle, which adds an additional 1 1/2" or so. It is in superb condition with no breaks or chips to the splint whatsoever. The next basket is lidded picnic basket, probably made in the Orient, but most assuredly vintage. It measures about 4 1/2" long, 3" wide, and 3 1/4" tall excluding the handle which adds an additional 2 1/2" or so. It has a wonderful diamond pattern woven into the long sides which add charm to the piece. It is in nice vintage condition, however the latch is missing on one side, and a bit of the wrapping around the handle is gone, but stable. The next basket is a diminuitive little laundry basket, also probably Oriental. It measures about 2 3/4" tall and 3 3/4" in diameter. This basket is also in very nice vintage condition with no breaks or missing pieces. The last basket is the largest of the group and looks kind of like a bread basket. I believe it is woven of thin oak splint, although I'm not sure on this one. I think it is American, although again, I'm not sure. The basket measures about 8" long, 6" wide, and 2 1/2" tall. It is also in very nice vintage condition, with no breaks or missing pieces that I can see. This set of wonderful vintage miniature baskets would be awesome in any basket or miniature collection.
