Used In Battery Radios Of The 1920's This is a set of four tested Radiola UV-199 Radio Tubes. They all have silk screened Bakelite bases. These were commonly used in battery powered radios of the 1920's. These tubes were tested on a Dynamic Mutual Transconductance Curve Tracer. Unlike testing with a standard Transconductance tube tester which only tests the tube at one plate voltage and two grid bias points, this test shows the tubes plate characteristics at all plate voltages from zero to 100 volts, and at 10 different grid voltages, all visible real time.(see photo) This is a true dynamic test of tubes performance and will show faults that a standard mutual transconductance tube tester will miss. These tubes show a transconductance of around 450 to 500 micromhos w the manufacturer specifies 400 as good. All tubes are clearly marked, and their bases are tight on the glass. They have lots of shiny getter, and no rattles, floaters or intermittents. These tubes are guaranteed good on arrival or your money back less shipping. I make every attempt to describe items completely and accurately, and to show any flaws clearly in the photographs. Questions are invited and will be answered promptly.
