This is a great set of Johnson Bros. dinnerware in the Red "Old Britain Castles" pattern, each piece type featuring a different rendition of a landmark British castle. The set is for 40 pieces, six place settings of 6 pieces each plus four food serving pieces. Included in the auction: 6 - 10.00" dinner plates 6 - 7.75" square salad plates 6 - 6.50" round bread plates 6 - 5.50" saucers/under plates 6 - 4.75" two-handled cream soup bowls 6 - tea cups, 3.50" in diameter and 2.25" tall 1 - 7" by 9" oval vegetable bowl 1 - 8.5" round vegetable bowl 1 - 9.5" by 11.0" platter 1 - 10.0" by 12.0" platter You will note that t are six saucers/under plates. I believe these to actually be the under plates for the cream soup bowls. I bought this set of Johnson Bros. at auction and, much to my surprise, t were no cup saucers in the lot. This was surprising in that usually when I buy sets of dishes, if t is any piece type that is in surplus, it is usually cup saucers. Having said this, the pieces listed above are what is for auction. The pieces are vintage and have seen some use. T is a modest amount of utensil scratching and some glaze crazing across the set. T are no chips or cracks (we tossed out the damaged pieces). No reserve! Reasonable minimum price! Reasonable shipping rates! Please check our other eBay listings. We source vintage and collectible items every week from estate auctions in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York. We usually have 100+ auctions running at any time - multiple purchases will reduce overall shipping costs. ****CHECK OUR FEEDBACK**** WE SHIP FAST AND PACK WELL!!!
