This is a truly magnificent vintage cast iron skillet made by Griswold in their 3 Section Colonial Breakfast pattern, #666, in the 1940's. It has 3 large sections, a smooth interior, a smooth exterior, a comfortable to hold handle with a hanging hole & is seasoned. Its black color is rich & vibrant. It is marked with impressed letters, COLONIAL BREAKFAST SKILLET, GRISWOLD in a cross & circle shape, ERIE PA. U.S.A. PATENT APPLIED FOR, 666, B. It can be seen on page 40 in the book, The Book Of Griswold & Wagner, by Smith & Wafford. It measures 8 3/4" square, has a 4 1/2" long handle and comes from a smoke & pet free home. It was a packed away & forgotten about piece that looks like it was rarely, if ever, used. It has no rust, pitting, chips, cracks, breaks, warping or repairs. This beautiful skillet would be a marvelous addition to your collection, look great with any décor or would be a most cherished gift. Please wait for 2 pictures to appear.
