The set was found at a New Jersey estate auction. The set is by Whitney Furniture, T's a store stamp on the bed pieces and in the drawers. T's a store tag in the night stand. It's originally from Hathaway's, New York. It's stenciled on the back, Heirloom, the manufacturers line. It's well made and in solid maple, thru out. This set came to us in poor finish. We refinished it and it looks great. T's a Twin Size Bed, a Dresser, a Nightstand and a Mirror. READ ON! The Bed: This one is Twin Size. It has a Headboard & Footboard. Both have a reed trim on turned posts with finial tops. The bed is in solid condition. It has original wood rails, in fine condition. T are heavy L brackets to hold the bedding. The bed is 42 1/2" wide. The headboard is 38 1/2" high in the center, 46 1/2" at the post. The footboard, 22" high in the center and 42 1/2 at the post. In the pictu4re below you may notice a slight split, w the board meets the post. It's an age split, normal for maple. The piece is solid and should not be considered and issue. The Dresser: This dresser is a 2 drawer, fashioned after some old Federal Empire pieces. No apologies for condition The pulls are original, also maple. The set is in solid condition thru out. This dresser is 42"wide, 36 high and 19 1/2" deep. The drawers are dovetailed and the interior wood is maple. The Nightstand: This, too, is a solid piece. T's a drawer on top over 2 shelves. This one is 16" wide and 28" high, 11" deep on top, 12" at the shelves The Mirror: We're listing the set as 3 pieces. The mirror is not in that count, but included. It's a wall hanger, so it can go any w in the room. The Empire style matches the dresser. The glass is original. It's in fine condition, with a few small character spots. The frame is in fine shape. The mirror is about 20 1/2" wide by 31" high. It has a cable on the back in good condition, ready to hang. This is a beautiful set. It's clean and solid. It's a good quality group.
