Amazing pieces of true vintage, wearable jewelry are my favorite specialty and personal hobby. I am not an expert by any means! Most all of my auctions include a refund policy, but I do not offer a refund on unsigned jewelry. I no longer accept bids from those with zero feedback nor those with a feedback rating of 97% or less. This way, you can place your best bid and neither of us need worry about fraudulent bids. Please ask questions prior to bidding! Please see page 190 of Warman's jewelry, 3rd Edition, by Christie Romero (2002)...bracelet is pictured and bracelet ALONE is priced at $650.00. Description states "red glass beads" yet even the picture in the book looks like a deep, vibrant orange too, so I am going with orange. I have had several questions about my large reference book. It is a 2002 edition & I will be glad to provide a copy of the page shown along with a copy of the cover of the book, so you will have a great reference point, see questions asked and answered, at the end of this auction page . Books description : c. 1940, berry cluster motif, multi-strand, with individually affixed and movable red glass beads, two star shaped, wm plaques (this SET has vine ~ leaf motifs) with pave' set colorless r.s. and red glass bead center, and smaller wire strung red glass beads, attributed to Miriam Haskell. This bracelet is JUST LIKE the turquoise bracelet pictured directly below the one attributed to Miriam Haskell, in the reference book.... $650 for bracelet alone . Again, if you do see the book, all color pictures, it even appears orange, as the one to your left in the reference book. The beads are not coated with color, they are of solid quality, which is why the seemingly white stuff can be cleaned off, they are color thru & thru. While some re-stringing security is needed and the metal backing to the necklace, I offer this SET to you at a buy it now of less than the bracelet (if perfect, I know) price alone, so there is exceptional room for collectors to repair and have a premier set, valued at clearly 3 to 4 times my offering, or for resale at quite a price! Vintage, as book referenced: early, unsigned Miriam Haskell wrap bracelet and matching necklace in vibrant orange beads with black enamel leaf & pave' - set colorless rhinestone embellishments. Flex wire (especially nice hold...not fall off condition) in the coil bracelet is excellent, set is just striking, but you can see the back of the pendant is missing the normal Haskell metal backing, which may have had the Haskell mark, although book says this set was originally unmarked. Out of the many inset rhinestones, only 4 are missing and one is dull, in total...of both items. I have pictured the loose dangle on the bracelet center. As I was looking at this under magnification, just now, I was ready to tell you there was color loss on some of the bracelet's beads (on the front of bracelet, in pix). Oh my, I wet a tissue and wiped it...it was a substance and wiped right off! So...please understand it can be cleaned off...that is not a chip, because color is not applied. Certainly needs repair...this would be a premier set with some work. Bracelet is 7 & 1/4" long, measured the inside, with front decor approximately 3 & 1/2" across Necklace easily slips over head at 26" around, plus a large drop pendant measuring 2 & 1/2" long x 2" wide Nice movement with the "dangles" of various size beads Substantial heft. Set weighs 114 grams. Per the statement above, I haven't cleaned this beauty as I thought color was scraped on a couple beads in the front of the bracelet. I didn't want to use any wet cleaning so I would not harm the rhinestones. Purchased at an on site country auction, where the owner had a life time (10 stand up jewelry cabinets + a table piled high of smaller jewelry boxes, that were all sold seperately & empty), of collection. The auction ad mentioned she and her husband had retired to the country, about 4 hours south of Chicago. She was stated to be a Chicago Socialite. Items went for more than most any country auction I have eve...
