Thinning out our Bulova collection. Grab yourself a bargain. All sold ‘as is’ – you decide the value For auction I offer this well preserved men’s vintage BULOVA wrist watch dating from the early ‘40s. The Bulova signed CASE is finished in 14k Rolled Gold Plate with a stainless case back which is inscribed on its inside with the gold content and a signature. The rose gold art deco style measures approx. 22mm excluding the crown and 35mm lug tip to tip. The signed DIAL is finished in copper which does show some peppering when viewed under magnification and is furnished with applied white numeral hour markers and black ‘modern’ style hour and minute hands complimented by a sub seconds register at the 6 position. The signed MOVEMENT is a calibre 8ae manual wind unit currently running fine on it 17 jewels, it winds and sets easily and is stamped with the date code for 1942. The CRYSTAL is a new old stock replacement fitted prior to listing. The attached BAND is a black lizard pattern genuine leather strap with a maximum fit length of 7.75 inches. This watch is truly beautiful with its rose gold case combining very well with the copper dial. It is now ready for someone new to appreciate its splendour.
