KEP566This mint condition patch is from the "Black Knights" Canadian Air Force wing that began in England during WW2 in 1941. This RCAF was disbanded several times over the years but in 1992 they were split into two units, one went to Comox as the 414 Composite Squadron and the other to Greenwood as the 434 Composite Squadron. 414 changed its name to Combat Support Squadron in 1993 and is currently equipped with the CT-133 Silver Star. Motto is Totis Viribus (with all our might). Notable Battle honors are the Defense of Britain 1942-43 and Normandy 1944. Some of the aircraft flown by the black Knights are the Curtis P-40 Tomahawk, Spitfire, Lancaster, F-86 Sabre, CF-100 Canuck, CF-101 VooDoo, EF-101 VooDoo, Canadair CE-144 Challenger and many other jets and planes.
