EL GRANDEE 1964 NO MONOGRAMS You are bidding on one very desirable 42 Piece set of Towle Sterling in the El Grandee pattern from 1964. It is in excellent condition as I could not find any damage on this set...except a couple of the forks have a small ding on the back side of the tines....nothing really serious....just trying not to miss anything. The knives have no loose handles or dents . The pictures do not do it justice....they do not show the lovely polished shine that this set has....it is just immaculate other than what I already touched on. The tines on the forks are still very even and squared off on at the bottoms...just like they were brand new. The hollow handle butter knife has Towle sterling handle and stainless blade on the knife part. The sterling handle is just like brand new with no dents whatsoever. The other knives are signed the same way, and are just like new too. I feel this set has been used very little as it only shows very light usage. I have mentioned quite a bit about this set for good reason...it is one very nice set that would make someone a very nice Christmas present. This set comes with a very nice tarnish proof silverware chest that I have shown; but like I said earlier my many pictures do not do the set the justice that I can see in person. This sterling set is very heavy sterling...your investment is two-fold on this very desirable pattern: No. 1 It would cost over $1750.00 if bought from one popular replacement companies, No. 2 Sterling silver value is very close to what my reserve will be. The set consists of: 8 8 7/8" modern hollow knives 8 7 1/2" forks 8 6 7/8 salad forks 16 6 1/8" teaspoons 1 6 1/8" sugar spoon 1 6 3/4" hollow handle butter knife I will start this set out at only $49.95 with a very fair reserve plus a Buy It Now price that includes FREE SHIPPING AND INSURANCE of only $1295.00 in the Continental USA...but once the reserve has been met the buy it now option disappears. This set with the fine chest would cost over $1750.00 if bought from one of the popular replacement companies....plus shipping and insurance. Buyer pays shipping and insurance of $24.95 in the Continental 48 States. International bids are welcome, but please keep in mind that shipping is very expensive, and that you are responsible for your own country's tariffs.
