1960's Vintage Textiles:
Bolt of Deadstock Japanese Muslin Fabric 13.5" X 6.29 Yards (34.29cm X 5.75m) Catalog# 4309 Clearance Priced This is a bolt of high quality 1950's-1960's deadstock muslin fabric; this is a Japanese muslin of the sort often used to make a kimono coat( haori ) or in making haori liners; Fabric is predominantly dark blue with some light and colonial blues as well as olive greens and slight touches of white; Fabric is still in its original bindings and label; measures 13.5" X 6.29 Yards (34.29cm X 5.75m) . Motif is a print combination of various shibori-looking designs with rows of ancient Japanese characters on one side. ( Cultural note: these characters are called Kanji ; the ones seen in this fabric are the sort used in very old Japanese writing and also seen in older Chinese sources; to many Japanese traditionalists this lends a distinguished and conservative feel to this design ) Condition: EXCELLENT.Fabric still strong, like new Recommended for a variety of creative applications or home projects.
