Vintage Post Cereal Premium Trading Cards

This Bid is for 45 State License Plate Trading Cards which were given as Box Cut-Out Premiums by Post Cereal on the Sugar Crisp Boxes in 1960. I am the original owner of the cards which I collected as a boy. T are 40 different State Cards + 5 doubles. Each card showed the exact State License Plate and State Nickname as it was at the time with additional information such as State Capital, 1959 est. Populations, the Year admitted to the Union, Number of US Congressmen, and each States Electoral Votes.

All of the cards were issued in 1960 but a few License Plates were made showing the States' License from another year. Please see the list for those States as well as which 5 are doubles. The cards are in wonderful condition as I kept these as a collection over the years. They measure approx 3 1/2" x 2 1/2", the size of a Sport Trading Card. The 40 States are the Year 1960-61 unless noted: Alaska, Arkansas, California (1956), Colorado, Connecticut (2), Delaware, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa (2), Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts (1959), Michigan (2), Missouri, Mississippi, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico (2), New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania (1958), Rhode Island, South Carolina (2), South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wyoming.
