You're bidding on a Chesapeake Light Craft (CLC) North Bay 18' Sea Kayak in PRISTINE (mint) condition. On a scale of 1 to 10, I'd rate this kayak a 9 1/2. I'll show you how to paddle this if you don't know how. Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin bidders BE WARE. This kayak is worth double my starting price, so the $150.00 in gas you'll spend picking it up will be worth it. I'll store it until you are ready to come North. Exceptionally stable for a narrow beam, the North Bay is built for big water, inland lakes, speed, and expeditions. But, at 48 pounds, it's light enough for smaller and older people to carry. Essentially new, this wood kayak has been gently used three times and stored indoors. The deck (top) is perfect, and the hull has only scuffs in the paint. It comes with a West Greenland paddle. Outfitting includes a professional compass, watertight sealed bulkheads, deck bungies, perimeter lines, adjustable foot pegs, and two hatches. The keyhole cockpit can easily be modified to an oval with a reciprocating saw, sandpaper and varnish. The builder designed it to be easily modified.
