Leo Nomellini was a two-way lineman who played 14 pro seasons with the San Francisco 49ers and is a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame; played in 10 Pro Bowl games; two-time All-American at the University of Minnesota; first-ever draft pick of the 49ers in 1950; performed as a pro wrestler during the offseason. Died: Stanford, Calif. , Oct. 17 2007 Nomellini was a first-team All-Pro four times on defense and twice on offense and was named to the Pro Bowl 10 times. He never missed a game while playing for the 49ers from 1950 to 1963. A Hall of Fame selection committee chose him at defensive tackle for the N.F.L.'s 50th anniversary team in 1969.
