You will rarely see cards graded as mint. Almost every card has a flaw when you examine it closely Near Mint/NM: Appears to be MINT at first glance, upon closer look you may find a tiny scratch or tiny marks on the edges that are common in pack fresh cards. Excellent/EX: Card looks NM in a sleeve, when pulled out you might notice a few small pecks or tiny scratches, a card just a notch below NM. Very Fine/VF: Similar to an excellent condition card except there is more whitening around the edges, maybe one edge has a small amount of consistent whitening but no more than that.
