A fine 2.5" gauge North Eastern Railway 'Z' Class live steam locomotive. I believe this built by the famous Alberta artist and railway enthusiast Roland Gissing, as shown on the cover of the October 10, 1940 "The Model Engineer". A later issue has a short article about Mr. Gissing and his Atlantic(s). It is spirit fired with slip essentric reverse and displacement oiler. The brakes and duplex feed pump are cosmetic. I have displayed this piece only, but I am sure it will steam as the condition is very good and complete. I can find nothing missing, broken or deteriorated. Loco and tender are 34" over buffers and the display track is included. The only thing needed, as far as I can tell are new lines from tender to deliver water and fuel. There is a hand pump in the tender. I have place a very low reserve on this piece. Shipping quote is for the Continental US. Inquire if shipping foriegn. A large, double box will be required for this item to be shipped securely.
