5 Issues Of The Escondido Times, a weekly,each issue 8 pages,March 20, April 3,10, May 1, 22,all from 1902, measuring 12 3/4 by 19 inches. In Front Page News--The storm last week killed 12,000 sheep in Wyoming.... It is again reported that the czar of Russia is about to allow the country a constitution...Returning soldiers from the Philippines give fresh instances of cruelties practiced upon the Filipinos....The house killed the woman suffrage bill, which had passed the Senate and which was believed by the suffragists to insure its final success.... In County New-- Ramona-- Wm. Moffatt, one of the enterprising ranchers of our valley, and also owning an apiary of several hundred colonies of bees, is very much encouraged with the prospects of the honey crop...J.D. Draper drove over from Escondido last Monday. He left New York eighteen months ago in a wretched state of health, but is now strong and robust. He attributes his recovery to Southern California climate, and an extra large consumption of olive oil.....Oceanside-- The courts of the Oceanside Tennis club are nearing completion. A 6-foot galvanized wire fence has been put around the entire four courts.....Work on the new gardens near the depot is progressing under the supervision of Capt. Sledge. The tract has been plowed and leveled, and part is receiving a coat of fertilizer
