This auction is for a fine and desirable 5 piece place setting by TOWLE Silversmiths in their beautiful and collectible CONTESSINA pattern of 1965. Set is crafted from medium/heavy gauge Sterling silver and comprises the following five pieces: Hollow Handle Place Knife (9 1/8" long), Place Fork (7 3/8" long), Individual Hollow Handle Butter Spreader (6 1/2" long), Teaspoon (6 1/8" long) and Salad Fork (6 5/8" long). Set is in great, used, condition. Sports no monograms or removals, areas of unsightly damage or repairs, just light surface scratches and tarnish commensurate with age and gentle use. A wonderful lot that will be a welcome addition to your collection of Sterling silver flatware in this popular pattern is offered for a low opening bid and no reserve.
