Up for auction is a 5 piece Jack Black Nativity set. This set was purchased at Anthony's Gift Shop in Scottsdale, AZ. This is a pure white set with the tan trim on the faces and hair and on the manger. The finish feels like satin, so smooth. The finish on this set cannot be reproduced because of the process that Jack Black used. This set is so lovely that it can be on display all year long because of Jack Black's ability to portray the Native American reverence, simplicity and emotion into his work. The set comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. The molds were produced at different times. Mary and Joseph, 1984, the camel, 1983, the donkey, 1995 and the infant Jesus, 1991. The date and the Jack Black signature are on each of the pieces. The set takes up 27" wide shelf space by 20" deep. Mary is 9" high with a 9-1/2" base. Joseph is 5" wide by 12" high. Baby Jesus is 4" long. The donkey is 10-1/2" long and the camel is 7-1/2" long. The condition is mint. I find no blemishes or nicks or scratches.
