RARE ANTIQUE BRONZE LION OPIUM WEIGHT COLLECTION PROFESSIONALLY FRAMED IN A BLUE VELVET SHELVED SHADOW DISPLAY BOX! Opium is grown along the border of China, Laos, Burma,Thailand and Southeast Asia. In 2005, an agreement was made with the government of Rangoon to halt the production of the opium poppy, making the weights increasingly obsolete and collectable. Measurements of the weighs are 25mm (0.984 inches), 30mm (1.181 inches), 35mm (1.378 inches), 40mm (1.575 inches) and 45mm (1.777 inches). These weights are bronze and have a nice and rich patina with hints of aqua. The bases are square and the entire weight is quite elaborately detailed. All five of these weights are housed and displayed read more
